You'll be using different technologies as a student. Here's a useful summary of the different services you'll come across: LIS - Technologies at UHI
You may also need access to a device at home. You can check if you have a suitable device and home broadband network to ensure a stable, consistent experience here: LIS - Buying your own device (uhi.ac.uk)
However, if you don't, please don't let this worry you. Our learning resource centre at our main Inverness College UHI campus is open, providing access to computers. We also have a laptop lending service and support in place for students experiencing digital poverty. Our student support team can help you if you have any questions.
As a student, you'll also have free access to Microsoft Office 365. You should also set up OneDrive for Students, which gives you 1TB of cloud storage for saving your documents. Guidance is available here.
If you experiencing any difficulties with ICT access, please contact our Servicedesk.
